We love a bit of grip and texture in our Rosé. Whether they're made from red grapes, white grapes, or a skinsy mash-up of both, we're not fussed. The main thing every rosé needs to possess? Drinkability. These are our favourites right now that are guaranteed to deliver, whatever the weather.
Pear and sweet ginger spice fill the palate, while rosewater and musk lolly notes bring some really enticing aromatics to the table. Textural and exotic, this is one of those super unique projects that the legends at Konpira Maru have become renowned for.
2019 Limus 'Talbot Rd Rosé'
Organic, Minimal intervention Varietal: Pinot Noir Origin: Mount Gambier, SA
Kyatt Dixon of Limus is one of the most exciting young winemakers in Australia and, after beginning his journey in to wine in the Adelaide Hills, moved to Mt Gambier in 2017. This pale coloured gem is all strawberries with bright acidity, zippy and dry with enough fruit sweetness to give length. Find a patch of sun!
James Erskine crafts some of the most beautiful natural wines in the country and this is yet another fine example. Juicy orchard fruit flavours, some grip from the skinsy elements, crunchy acidity and a lively, spicy mid palate. Awesome, unusual, and made with no additions whatsoever.
